LOTOS Norge will be having the most busy summer season in 2011 since the company was established in 2007. In license PL503, in the southern part of the North Sea, a large 3D seismic survey of 1560 sq km started in early June. The vessel "Artemis Arctic" operated by Dolphin Geophysical AS is the contractor for the offshore acquisition work. The acquisition period is scheduled to last into the month of August.

The operation will be carried on during a time period of the year with attractive weather conditions, but nevertheless it will provide the best opportunity for LOTOS Norge to demonstrate its capacity to conduct offshore operations with the highest standards for health, safety and the environment.

LOTOS Norge is the operator in PL503 with a 25 % participating interest. The other partners in the license are Skagen 44 AS, Edison International and North Energy ASA, each partner company having 25 % equity. In adddition to PL503 LOTOS Norge is also operator in PL498, and in the process of taking over the operatorship for PL455.
