On June 18th 2021, LOTOS Petrobaltic and Baltic Trade and Invest (BTI) signed a letter of intent to collaborate on offshore wind farm projects. BTI is a subsidiary of Germany’s RWE Renewables (RWER), the world’s second largest offshore wind farm developer and operator.

The TETRA critical communication system, implemented and successfully used at the Energa Group, has also been tested in sea and medical rescue operations in the Pomerania region. This most advanced radio communication system in Europe will now also be used by LOTOS Petrobaltic. Offered by Enspirion, the critical communication service will ensure reliable communication both in emergency situations and in day-to-day operations.

LOTOS Petrobaltic has commenced another stage of a project to construct a 75-kilometre long gas pipeline between the B8 field production hub and the Energobaltic CHP plant in Władysławowo. The pipeline, laid on the Baltic seabed, is now being secured with concrete mattresses. The task is being performed by Sylur, a multi-purpose vessel.

Twenty-five years have passed since production was launched at the B3 field on the Polish Baltic Sea, and the Tarnobrzeg tanker reached the Northern Port of Gdańsk with the first delivery of Petrobaltic’s crude oil from the field.

Today, the Supervisory Board of LOTOS Petrobaltic changed the composition of the company’s Management Board following the resignation of Marcin Jastrzębski, President of the Grupa LOTOS Management Board, from the position of President of the Management Board of LOTOS Petrobaltic S.A.

A new crude oil field discovered in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea opens up new opportunities for LOTOS Norge’s growth and adds to its production potential.

A breakthrough was made towards redevelopment of the Norwegian Yme field, in which LOTOS Norge holds a 20% interest. The faulty production platform has just been removed from the field, to facilitate further work on its full development.

Statoil, LOTOS Norge and Total Norge, which together hold the Utgard licence (formerly Alfa Sentral), have submitted the Plan for Development and Operation of the licence to the Norwegian and British regulators. Production from the Utgard field is scheduled to start in late 2019.

In the first quarter of 2016, LOTOS produced over 2.5 million barrels (ca. 350 thousand tonnes) of oil equivalent (boe), which translates into a daily production volume of almost 30 thousand boe. To compare, production in the first three months of 2015 amounted to some 1 million boe. Three-fourths of the volumes come from fields in Norway, while the balance was produced in the Baltic Sea and in Lithuania.

In February 2016, total production of crude oil by LOTOS Petrobaltic, LOTOS Norge and LOTOS Geonafta, which operate in Poland, Norway and Lithuania, crossed the mark of one million barrels. 

LOTOS Exploration and Production Norge AS has entered into an agreement with ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Norway to acquire a portfolio of assets in the Sleipner gas field located in the North Sea.

LOTOS Petrobaltic, the sole company engaged in crude oil and natural gas exploration and production in the Polish economic zone of the Baltic Sea, has launched initial production from a new field. The field is the B8 oil field, holding an estimated 3.5m tonnes of oil.
