Created when the Company Fire Brigade was separated from Grupa LOTOS S.A., LOTOS Straż began operations in 2004.

LOTOS Straż provides fire protection services on the premises of Grupa LOTOS.

Its responsibilities include preventive measures consisting in the supervision and operational control of safety systems in place at Grupa LOTOS, as well as organising and carrying out rescue and firefighting operations, including in particular:

• firefighting,
• handling chemical emergencies,
• handling environmental emergencies,
• organising technical rescue operations,
• assisting in the aftermath of natural disasters,
• providing first aid,
• consulting on firefighting documentation,
• staying on standby during operations where the risk of fire is present,
• training in the use of fire-extinguishing, rescue and fire-fighting equipment found at Grupa LOTOS,
• organising fire drills for Grupa LOTOS employees.
