In late March 2020, Grupa LOTOS, LOTOS Paliwa and Remontowa LNG Systems signed an agreement to build a pilot LNG docking station, to be sited at the LOTOS service station located in Gdańsk-Osowa on the ring road bypassing the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot metropolitan area (on the road to Gdynia). Its commercial operation is slated to start in mid 2021.
LOTOS has begun testing the first 12 electric vehicle charging points on the A1 and A2 motorways between Warsaw, Gdańsk and Gdynia. Since October 26th 2018, drivers of electric vehicles have been able to travel from Warsaw to the Tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot) and back. Charging will be free until further notice.
Robert Kubica, one of the most recognisable Polish athletes, has become the brand ambassador of Dynamic, an energy drink offered by LOTOS service stations since early June. July will see the launch of LOTOS Quazar Dynamic, a new line of fully synthetic, fuel-saving and technologically advanced engine oils, across the LOTOS retail chain.
LOTOS is set to build 12 electric vehicle charging stations, enabling electric cars to travel from Gdańsk and Gdynia to Warsaw and back. A smartphone app will help motorists find the charging points and check prices.
The Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) inspected one in every seven LOTOS service stations. In each case, the quality of fuels at the pump met the required standards.
Another SUBWAY restaurant is scheduled to open on April 7th at a LOTOS service station in Poznań, with over ten more outlets under the US brand planned for launch in the course of 2016.
Shell Polska and LOTOS Paliwa have put the finishing touches on a deal that will see cross-acceptance of euroShell and LOTOS Biznes car fleet cards at LOTOS and Shell Polska service stations.
At the end of 2014 the LOTOS chain comprised 441 service stations, with the company planning to expand the network to some 470 outlets by the end of 2015.
With 158 economy service stations opened in just three years and effective management of its service station network, LOTOS has markedly strengthened its position in the retail market.
May this year saw LOTOS launch three new service stations in Motorway Service Areas (MSAs) on the A4 and A2 routes. The first MSA opened in Rudka (A4 section near Tarnów) and the other two in Brwinów, a town located between the Pruszków and Grodzisk Mazowiecki interchanges, around 20 km near Warsaw.
At the end of 2013, 439 service stations were operating in the LOTOS network, including 151 stations in the LOTOS Optima economy segment and 14 service stations in Motorway Service Areas. LOTOS remains Poland’s fastest growing network of service stations.
On Thursday, LOTOS Paliwa and Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe of Warsaw signed a contract for the supplies of 43 thousand cubic metres of diesel oil over the period of 12 months. The value of the contract is over PLN 241m.
